Kelsey Mills’s life path was forever changed thanks to a chance to participate in art therapy as a young teenager, setting them on a path towards supporting others on their journey towards healing and mental wellness. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Regina, a masters in counselling with a specialization in art therapy from Athabasca University and a diploma in art therapy from the Vancouver Arts Therapy Institute, their combination of lived experience and counselling education enables them to provide compassionate and empathetic service to those they work with.
Kelsey Mills is a client-centered counsellor with 10 years of experience working with marginalized people from all walks of life. Practising both person-centred counselling techniques and person-centred art therapy, Kelsey believes in the healing power of creativity and the potential for healing and wellness present in all people. They are dedicated to working with clients to facilitate meaningful change in their lives. Kelsey has experience working with individuals living with mental illness, trauma, the challenges associated with being a member of the LGBTQ+ community, and neurodivergence. They are also a practising artist, and their primary form of expression is creative writing.
